There are events we look forward to each year and Bike Night at the Up North Lodge is certainly high on the list. Sally and the folks out there pulled of this fund raiser again in a covid-safe evening generating a $1,100 donation! Special thanks to them and to our sponsors, The Window Store and the Barrier Free Store. See you next year!
March 13. 2020 – Executive Director, Pat Bray was kind enough to offer is face to benefit Spread Goodness Day and Superior Alliance for Independent Living at The Pie Smash at Iron Bay Restaurant. It was a lot of fun and a great success. Way to go Pat Bray! and Thank you Anna Marie Dravland for all your hard work on this special day.
We, like you, are concerned about the spread of the new coronavirus. Out of an abundance of caution we have implemented visitor restrictions recommended by the CDC to reduce the potential of the virus entering Trillium House. The main one is we ask that you not visit if it is not absolutely necessary.
Please contact Pat Bray, Exec. Dir., at 236-3683 or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. Thank you for your support of our Residents and our community in stopping the spread of this virus.
October 20, 2019 – As one of Marquette County Quilters Association charities, Trillium House was asked to be one of the Dignitary Judges at their Autumn Comforts Quilt Show held last weekend at NMU. Connie Mazzuchi did a wonderful job carefully viewing 300 quilts in a variety of categories before chosing Ann Pillote‘s beautiful quilt, ‘Roses Are Red’ as the Trillium winner! Ann’s amazing quilt took her a year to make and includes exquisite hand applique` and paper pieced medallions and fabulous quilting by Chris Wiik. The quilt also won 1st place in the Applique` Quilt category, Exceptional Quilting and Viewer’s Choice. Thanks Connie for representing Trillium House at the show!
July 2, 2019 – Families often come together around a table at Trillium House to support each other and share memories of their loved one. The coffee pot is always on and our staff and amazing volunteers are always nearby to share a story or hold a hand. Your continued support of the Trillium House mission that makes this family time possible. There’s nothing that can match the support of family and friends within a hospice journey. We thank you for helping us help others in their time of need..
June 21, 2019 – We are so happy the Chocolay Township Senior Center included Trillium House on a recent outing. More than 20 members visited the House to learn more about it and some shared their experience with a loved one living at Trillium House. It is so good to see folks coming to Trillium to get a better understanding of what we do for hospice patients and their families. It’s especially meaningful to us when you see visitors grasp we really are a home and not a facility or institution. This usually happens when we share stories about wheelchair races and Lion-Packer parties. If you’re part of a group that visits places in our community, please include Trillium in your plans. It’s a good place to get to know.
